Innovating chronic care
2022: At EPAM, I supported a Fortune 50 client seeking to offer consumers an omni-channel experience to help manage common, chronic conditions. In 2022 I led research to identify opportunities to drive consumer engagement and improve diabetes and colorectal cancer outcomes.
Eyes On Site
2015: Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is the most common cause of vision loss among working-age adults. 90% of cases can be prevented with early treatment, but many patients do not complete the necessary screening. Eyes on Site is a low-barrier, mobile screening service which leverages advanced imaging to detect and treat DR early.
Center for Opioid Recovery + Engagement
2019: Philadelphia has the highest rate of opioid overdose death of any major city. What began as an effort to incorporate evidence-based substance use treatment in Penn Medicine’s emergency departments is now a transformative model for caring for patients with opioid use disorder.
Advanced Heart Care at Home
2018: Home care is a valuable tool to keep sick patients comfortable and out of the hospital. However, traditional home care fails to meet the needs of patients with advanced heart failure. An interdisciplinary team developed a novel home care service specialized for heart failure patients.
Penn Open Pass
2020: In Summer 2020, The University of Pennsylvania mobilized to re-open while protecting the community from COVID-19.
